As per the NMIMS official schedule, NPAT counselling 2026 for phase 2 will be held in the first week of June, 2026. The exact date of the counselling will be announced after the NPAT result is declared. The counselling will be conducted at Indore, Hyderabad and Chandigarh campuses in offline mode. These counselling centres are for candidates seeking admission to these institutes. The NPAT counselling for phase 1 was conducted from April 28 to April 30, 2026.
Only candidates who qualify the cut-off marks will be eligible for the counselling round. The cut-off marks and the merit list will tentatively be released in the first week of June. Among all the campuses, NMIMS Mumbai is quite popular for its BBA and other allied programmes. The total number of seats offered by NMIMS Mumbai is 720 for all the BBA programmes.

NPAT Counselling 2026 Process
NPAT counselling is conducted in phases. First, the merit list is declared, followed by a counselling session, for which students must register. Check the detailed steps below:
NPAT Merit List: The merit list is strictly based on the NPAT score. The list of qualifying students will be released on the official website of NMIMS. Students need to check their merit rank and download the same, if shortlisted.
Seat Allotment: Seat allotment will be based on candidates’ merit score, program preferences, seat availability, and college choice.
Verification of the documents: The documents will be verified offline at the counselling centres at the Hyderabad, Indore, and Chandigarh campuses. If any candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria or provides incorrect information regarding documents, his/her admission will be cancelled and the fee will be refunded as per the rules.
Fee Payment: You pay the admission and program fees at the campus to confirm your seat. The fee must be paid within the specified period to reserve your seat and confirm your final admission.

FAQs on NPAT Counselling 2026
70 marks in NPAT is considered an average score. To secure a seat at NMIMS Mumbai, your NPAT score should be 80+ marks out of 120.
There is no reservation policy for NPAT. The seats are offered strictly based on the NPAT merit score.
For NPAT, 80 or 80+ marks is a good score. However, if your score is 90+ marks in NPAT, it is considered an extremely good score to get into any college you want.
Approximately 80,000 students appear for the NPAT exam every year. Candidates appear for admission to various BBA, BSc and other UG programmes offered at its participating institutes.
